New Delhi: Before the Delhi Assembly Election, many MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party resigned and joined BJP on Saturday (1 February). These MLAs joined BJP in the presence of Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva and Baijayant Jai Panda. The leaders who left Aam Aadmi Party and joined BJP include Adarsh Nagar Pawan Sharma, Girish Soni from Madipur, Janakpuri Rajesh Rishi, BS June from Bijwasan, Bhavana Gaur from Palam, Rohit Mehraulia from Trilokpuri, Madanlal from Kasturba Nagar and Naresh Yadav from Mehrauli.
Let us tell you that on Friday (31 January), giving a shock to the Aam Aadmi Party, 8 MLAs said goodbye to the party. Now these MLAs have joined BJP. According to sources, these MLAs were angry for not being given tickets for the elections and were in touch with other parties. Some MLAs shared their resignations on social media and targeted the Aam Aadmi Party over corruption and other issues.
Criticising the MLAs who resigned, AAP national spokesperson Reena Gupta said that a survey conducted by the party showed that all of them were not available to the public in their respective constituencies and that is why they were not given tickets in the elections. She said that we did not give them tickets due to the adverse results of the survey. After not getting the ticket, now they are joining another party, this is not a big deal. This is a part of politics.
