‘What even infidels didn’t do, the police did,’ Shankaracharya Swami Sadanand Saraswati angered by the pulling of Brahmacharis’ hair tufts

Gandhinagar: Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Sadanand Saraswati, present in Kheda, launched a strong attack on the administration and police regarding the controversy surrounding the Triveni bath. The Shankaracharya said that pulling the hair tufts of Brahmacharis and insulting the sacred thread and tuft of hair will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He said that what even infidels did not do, the police have done.

‘The first duty of a king is to protect his subjects’
Shankaracharya Swami Sadanand Saraswati said that the first duty of a king and the government is to protect the subjects. This is the duty of a ruler. But here, the police have acted against Dharma (righteousness). He said that the insult to Sanatan traditions cannot be accepted.

Swami Sadanand Saraswati gave a clear warning to the administration, stating that the Triveni bath should be conducted with respect. He said that insulting the sacred thread and tuft of hair is a direct insult to Sanatan Dharma.

‘Shankaracharya should be given a respectful Triveni bath’
Referring to Adi Shankaracharya, the Shankaracharya said that he was incarnated to protect Sanatan Dharma, and even today, it is necessary to protect that tradition. He demanded that the administration immediately apologize for this incident and that the Shankaracharya be given a respectful Triveni bath.
