MP: Teacher arrives at school after consuming illicit liquor; found unconscious at the gate

Khargone: Negligence and indiscipline have become so rampant in the Education Department that a teacher arrived at school heavily intoxicated; matters reached a new low when he was found lying unconscious right near the school gate. A video of the teacher—inebriated after consuming illicit country-made liquor (often found in rural areas)—is now going viral on social media, putting the entire Education Department in the dock.

The incident occurred at the Government Higher Secondary School (Mohanpura Cluster) in the Bhagwanpura block, where the teacher’s conduct left everyone shocked. The teacher has been identified as Lalsingh, who is posted at the Primary School in Kadwali Faliya, also within the Bhagwanpura block.

The teacher had arrived at the Mohanpura cluster for official work, but before reaching the premises, he had already consumed illicit country-made liquor sold in rural areas. He was so intoxicated that he was in no condition to even step inside the school; instead, he collapsed unconscious near the school gate.

Students and villagers passing by were outraged to see the teacher in such a drunken state. Villagers recorded a video on their mobile phones showing the teacher stumbling and writhing on the ground at the school gate. The video clearly reveals the extent to which the teacher—whose duty is to shape the future of children—has himself sunk into the abyss of intoxication. Villagers and parents argue that a teacher who arrives at school in the morning after consuming illicit liquor can hardly provide any meaningful education to innocent children. Entrusting children’s futures to such irresponsible teachers is pushing them into total darkness.
