‘A country living on debt is drowned in terrorism and extremism…’, India shamed Pakistan in the United Nations

New Delhi: Neighbouring country Pakistan has once again been embarrassed in the United Nations. In the meeting of the United Nations Security Council, India once again took Pakistan to task and showed it the mirror.

India’s permanent representative to the United Nations Parvataneni Harish reprimanded Pakistan for supporting terrorism and ruining its economy. While participating in a high-level debate on peace and multilateralism, India described Pakistan as a country repeatedly taking loans from the IMF and a nation drowned in extremism and terrorism.

He said that on one hand India has a mature democracy, emerging economy and inclusive society. On the other hand, Pakistan is drowned in extremism and terrorism, which is running on IMF loans. It repeatedly takes loans from the IMF. When we are discussing promoting international peace and security, it is important to understand that some basic principles should be respected universally. One very important principle among these is zero tolerance towards terrorism, which is not appropriate for Pakistan.
