A Shameful Incident at a Government School! Teacher Makes Girls Strip After ₹500 Goes Missing

July 16, 2026

Gangapur City: A shameful incident has come to light in Liwali village, located in the Bamanwas subdivision of Gangapur City, Rajasthan. A female teacher at the Government Senior Secondary School lost ₹500 in one of the classrooms. After an extensive search failed to locate the money, the teacher confined female students from classes 9 and 11 in a room and, acting on suspicion, forced them to strip—searching for the missing ₹500 by making the girls remove their clothes. The students were deeply humiliated by this incident and recounted the entire ordeal to their parents upon returning home.

Upon hearing about the incident, the parents were outraged; they rushed to the school and created a commotion. News of the event spread rapidly, drawing a crowd of villagers to the school, and the premises were locked up in protest. Acting CBEO (Block Education Officer) of Bamanwas, Pratibha Meena, and the police arrived at the scene upon receiving the information. The villagers presented the details of the incident to the CBEO, who also recorded the statements of the girls involved.

  • The villagers remained adamant in their demand for the suspension of two teachers and continued their protest. Eventually, the matter was reported to higher authorities at the district headquarters in Sawai Madhopur. Taking cognizance of the situation and the serious complaints received, Saraswati Meena, a Senior Teacher (Hindi) at the Government Senior Secondary School in Liwali, Bamanwas, has been suspended. During the suspension period, her designated headquarters will be the CBEO office in Rajakhera, Dholpur. Additionally, Vocational Education Instructor Vandana Sharma has been relieved of her duties and returned to the service-providing company.

Dalveer Singh, Joint Director of School Education (Bharatpur), stated that a departmental inquiry is being initiated against Senior Teacher Saraswati Meena, based on the report submitted by the District Education Officer (Secondary) of Sawai Madhopur and the complaints received against her.

He stated that, in exercise of the powers conferred under Rule 13 of the Rajasthan Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1958, he is being suspended with immediate effect. During the suspension period, his headquarters will be the office of the Chief Block Education Officer, Rajakheda (District Dholpur), and he will be entitled to a subsistence allowance in accordance with the rules.
