
Prayagraj: Uttar Pradesh, Board of Secondary Education has taken a big decision regarding board exams to be held on 24 February. The board has postponed the high school and intermediate examination to be held on 24 February in Prayagraj district in view of the crowd in Mahakumbh. Along with this, the board has also announced a new date for the examination. The examination to be held on 24 February will now be held on 9 March.
In the order issued by the UP Board, it has been said that in view of the last date of Mahakumbh bath, a request was made to postpone the high school and intermediate examinations to be held on 24 February in Prayagraj district. In this regard, now the high school and intermediate examination schedule to be held on 24 February in Prayagraj is revised.
It has been told by the board that the Hindi preliminary and health care examination of high school on 24 February in Prayagraj will now be held on 9 March. Similarly, the Military Science and General Hindi exam for Intermediate which was to be held on 24 February will be held on 9 March. There has been no change in the timing of both these exams, only the date has been extended.
Apart from Prayagraj, board exams in the rest of the districts will be conducted as per the given schedule. The board has made special arrangements for this. 8,140 examination centers have been set up in the entire state. These include 576 government and 3,446 non-government aided and 4,118 self-financed schools. Out of these, 306 examination centers have been declared hypersensitive and 692 sensitive. A control room has also been set up to keep an eye on them from where all the centers can be monitored online.
Talking about the high school board exam, 27,32,216 students will appear in it and 27,05,017 students will appear in the intermediate exam. The board has already kept additional reserve sets ready to deal with contingencies. These have been kept in the strong room and strict measures have also been taken to prevent the exchange of answer sheets at the examination centers.
