Mumbai. An Indigo Airlines flight from Kuwait to Hyderabad received a bomb threat on Tuesday. The flight was subsequently diverted to Mumbai. According to reports, the threat was made via an email to Hyderabad Airport, which stated that a human bomb was on board.
The plane later landed safely at Mumbai Airport, and passengers were disembarked and the plane was inspected. The flight was moved to an isolation area at the airport, and security teams were deployed. There is currently no report of a bomb being recovered on the flight.
It is noteworthy that security agencies have increased their vigilance since the Delhi bombings. Despite this, two weeks ago, there were repeated threats to bomb the airport and the aircraft. While a bomb threat was first spread on a flight from Toronto, Canada to Delhi, a bomb threat was also issued against a flight from Mumbai to Varanasi. Furthermore, some miscreants have threatened to blow up Delhi Airport, Goa Airport, and Chennai Airport.
