
New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Brazil as part of the fourth phase of his foreign tour. He participated in the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro. He said here that terrorism is the biggest threat to humanity.
PM Modi said that recently an inhuman and cowardly terrorist attack took place in Pahalgam. It was an attack on humanity. During the session named Peace and Security and Reform of Global Governance in BRICS, PM Modi targeted the neighboring country, expressing India’s commitment to peace and brotherhood and said that there is no place for double standards. If any country supports terrorism directly or indirectly, then it will have to pay the price for it. There should be no hesitation in banning terrorists.
He said that support to terrorism or its tacit consent will not be tolerated. PM Modi has asked all countries to take a decisive decision on this.
He said that India will continue to move forward on the path of peace, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi and Gautam Buddha. No matter how difficult the circumstances are, peace will remain the best path for the welfare of humanity.
BRICS countries condemned the Pahalgam terrorist attack
Not only this, the leaders participating in the BRICS Summit also condemned the Pahalgam terrorist attack in strong words. During this, commitment was expressed to deal with every form of terrorism, cross-border terrorism, financing of terrorism and sheltering terrorists. A zero tolerance policy towards terrorism should be made and double standards should be rejected for this.
BRICS countries issued a joint statement condemning the Pahalgam terrorist attack in strong words. It was said in this statement that we strongly condemn the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April, in which 26 people were killed while many people were injured. We urge zero tolerance for terrorism and rejection of double standards in combating terrorism.
