Ajmer: A new controversy has emerged regarding the city’s famous Ajmer Dargah. It has been claimed that there is a Shiva temple in the Dargah premises and a demand has also been raised to conduct a survey in the Dargah. In this case, the advocate of the petitioner Vishnu Gupta presented his side before the court and claimed that the entire process has been completed properly under the rules.
The Minority Department and the Archaeological Survey of India have objected to this claim. They say that objection has been filed in this case under Order 7 Rule 10 because the concerned family has not been given proper notice in this regard.
At the same time, the advocate of the petitioner says that this claim has been filed following all the legal procedures and it is necessary to conduct a survey for proper investigation on it.
The Dargah Committee has also knocked the door of the court in this entire matter. An application has been filed by the committee demanding the dismissal of this claim, which is now to be heard. The court will hear the 7/11 application of the Dargah Committee today at 3:45 pm.
At present, this matter has created a stir in Ajmer. On one hand, the petitioner is demanding a survey, while on the other hand, the Dargah Committee and ASI are calling it baseless. Now it remains to be seen what stand the court takes on this dispute.
