‘Dadagiri comes from power and technology, India will have to increase exports…’, said Gadkari

Nagpur: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that the countries which are doing ‘Dadagiri’ in the world today, are able to do so because they have economic strength and technology. He stressed that India will have to increase exports and reduce imports, only then we will be able to play a leading role in the world by becoming self-reliant.

In a program organized at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology here on Saturday, Gadkari said, if our export and economy rate increases, then I do not think we will need to go to anyone. The countries which are doing ‘Dadagiri’ are doing it because they are economically strong and they have technology.

‘Our culture teaches us…’
He said, if we have better technology and resources, then we will not put pressure on anyone. Because our culture teaches us that world welfare is most important. Gadkari said that we are facing many challenges at the global level and the solution to these problems lies in science and technology i.e. knowledge, which is a power.

‘If you want to become a Vishwaguru then…’
Union Minister Gadkari said that if India has to become a ‘Vishwaguru’ then it is necessary to increase exports and reduce imports. He suggested that research institutes, IITs and engineering colleges should do research keeping in mind the needs of the country. He also said that research in other fields is equally important.
