New Delhi: The Khalistani terrorist organization Sikhs for Justice has threatened to block Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s concert in Australia on November 1st. The Akal Takht Sahib has declared this day as “Sikh Genocide Remembrance Day.” This action comes after Diljit Dosanjh touched Amitabh Bachchan’s feet. He participated in Amitabh Bachchan’s game show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” season 17. In the show’s promo, he was seen touching Bachchan’s feet and embracing him. The episode will air on October 31st.
According to the terrorist organization, Amitabh Bachchan is the Bollywood actor who incited Indian mobs with the slogan “Khoon ka abdala khoon” on October 31st, 1984, leading to a massacre that resulted in the deaths of over 30,000 Sikh men, women, and children across India.
SFJ General Counsel Gurpatwant Singh Pannu said, “By touching the feet of Amitabh Bachchan, whose words incited the massacre, Diljit Dosanjh has insulted every victim, every widow, and every orphan of the 1984 Sikh genocide. This is not ignorance but betrayal. The ashes of the Sikhs who were burned alive, the women who were raped, and the children who were slaughtered have not yet cooled. No Sikh who listens to their conscience can protest or celebrate on November 1st, Remembrance Day.”
Dosanjh Angered by Touching Big B’s Feet
According to Sikhs for Justice, for 41 years, no Indian leader or celebrity who incited the killing of Sikhs has been held accountable. Instead, these individuals have been rewarded, honored, and whitewashed. Now, as the world remembers the genocide, Diljit Dosanjh, a global Punjabi icon, is commercializing this month of mourning. He is performing a concert under the shadow of Amitabh Bachchan’s call for genocide.
SFJ has formally written to Jathedar Akal Takht Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, urging him to summon Diljit Dosanjh to explain his actions in light of the 2010 Takht Farman, which recognized November 1984 as ‘Sikh Genocide Month.’
