Donald Trump took a dig at Musk for forming a new party, said – Elon has gone off track

Washington. A day after industrialist and Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced the new political party America Party, US President Donald Trump has termed this move as ridiculous. Trump also criticized Musk and said that his move will only create confusion.

Speaking on the issue related to the third political party in America, Donald Trump told the media, ‘I think starting a third party is ridiculous. Our Republican Party is very successful. The Democrats have lost their way, but it has always been a two-party system. Starting a third party will only increase confusion.’

Trump has shared a long post on Truth Social. He wrote in the post, ‘He is very sad to see that in the last five weeks, Elon Musk has completely gone off track and his condition has become very bad.’

Third party is not successful in America
Trump said, ‘He also wants to start a third political party, despite the fact that they have never succeeded in the United States – it seems the system is not designed for them. The only thing third parties are good for is creating complete and total disruption and chaos and we have done that long ago with the radical left-wing Democrats who have lost their confidence and their minds! The Republicans, on the other hand, are a smooth-running “machine” who have passed the biggest bill of its kind in the history of our country.’

The US President said that this is a great law that eliminates the ridiculous electric vehicle (EV) requirement. I have always opposed the compulsion to buy electric cars. I have advocated the freedom to buy vehicles powered by gasoline, hybrids (which are performing very well), or those powered by new technologies. I have campaigned on this for two years and honestly, when Elon gave me his full and unquestionable support, I asked him if he knew I was going to end the EV mandate—it was in every speech I made and every conversation I had. He said he had no problem with it, but I was very surprised now!

The tension between Musk and Trump escalated when Musk criticized Trump’s new tax and spending bill, which the Congressional Budget Office estimated would add $3.3 trillion to the US deficit by 2034.

Musk wrote on his social media platform X, “When it comes to the spending and corruption that is ruining our country, we live in a single-party system, not a democracy. Today, the America Party is built to give you your freedom back.”

Let us tell you that there have been differences between Trump and Musk over the One Big Beautiful law, where on one hand Trump claims that this law will greatly benefit America, while Musk has termed this law as increasing the debt on the country. Since then, the relationship between the two has become strained.

Musk once spent more than $275 million of his own money to help Trump win re-election. But now with his new political party and sharp attacks on Trump’s policies, the two former allies have become political adversaries.
