New Delhi. The blast outside the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi was a terrorist attack. Eight people have died so far and 20 have been injured. According to investigating agencies, explosives were planted in a car and detonated. According to the agencies, this was a suicide attack. The investigation so far has revealed that the Delhi Red Fort blast is linked to the Faridabad terrorist module.

Police will conduct a DNA test on the body found in the car recovered from the scene to confirm whether the person in the car is Dr. Umar Mohammed. Intelligence agencies suspect that Dr. Umar Mohammed was the passenger in the I-20 car. A CCTV image of this person has been obtained, in which he is seen wearing a black mask.

Following information about the seizure of a large quantity of ammonium nitrate in Faridabad, the Delhi Police and other agencies were searching for Dr. Umar Mohammad.

1. According to sources, terrorist Umar Mohammad was alone in the car at the time of the blast. He planned the attack with two other fellow terrorists. Sources say that when arrests began to be made in the Faridabad terror module, he became afraid of being caught and, in panic, planned the terrorist attack. He, along with his associates, planted a detonator in the car and carried out the blast.

2. According to this, the I-20 car was last seen at the Badarpur border. The car is seen entering Delhi from Badarpur. Its subsequent route is being traced. The car was then seen near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station.

3. Prior to this, the car was parked for three hours in the parking lot near the Sunheri Masjid near the Red Fort. The car entered the parking lot at 3:19 pm and left at 6:48 pm. The explosion occurred shortly thereafter.

4- Delhi Police has obtained CCTV footage showing the suspicious car entering and exiting the parking lot. This indicates that the suspect was alone in the car. Investigating agencies are now examining vehicles traveling on the Daryaganj route. Police are examining 100 CCTV clips and video footage from nearby toll plazas to trace the car’s entire movement.

5- The I-20 car used in the blast near the Red Fort was owned by a man named Mohammad Salman. He sold it to Nadeem. Nadeem sold the car to Royal Car Zone, a car dealer in Faridabad. Tariq then purchased it, followed by Umar. The car was registered with the Gurugram North RTO in Haryana. Its number was HR 26 7624, registered in the name of a person named Mohammad Salman.

6- Tariq was detained by the police last night from Sambura, Pulwama. However, the car’s RC is not in Tariq’s name. Sources indicate that Tariq gave the car to Umar in 2015. Until then, the car was in Tariq’s name. Police have detained both of them and are interrogating them. A man named Aamir has been linked to this deal. Jammu and Kashmir Police is interrogating Tariq and Aamir.

7- Earlier, Delhi Police had stated that three people were in the car that exploded. They also stated that they were investigating whether it was a suicide attack. However, now the police are saying that Umar Mohammad was alone in the car.
8- A senior police officer said, “The explosion occurred in a moving Hyundai I-20 car, carrying three people. We did not find any shrapnel or punctures in the bodies of the injured, which is unusual in an explosion. We are investigating all aspects.” The police officer said that Delhi Police detained the car owner, Mohammad Salman, late in the evening and questioned him about the car. He said that Salman had sold the car to a man named Devendra in Okhla a year and a half ago. Later, the car was sold to someone in Ambala and then to a man named Tariq in Pulwama. Police are tracing those people.

9- Delhi Police has registered an FIR in the blast. The police have registered an FIR under sections 16 and 18 of the UAPA, which deal with terrorist acts and punishment for them. Sections 3 and 4 of the Explosive Substances Act have also been added. In addition, sections of murder and attempt to murder have also been included in the FIR.

The Faridabad Connection to the Red Fort Blast
According to sources in the Delhi Police Special Cell, investigations so far indicate that the car bombing near the Red Fort is linked to the Faridabad terror module, which was recently busted by the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The suspects involved in this terror module were associated with and acted at the behest of banned organizations like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH). This terror module also included two male and one female doctor.

In this case, police have arrested Dr. Muzammil Ahmed Ganai of Faridabad and Dr. Adil Ahmed Rather of Pulwama. In addition, police have arrested Dr. Shaheen Shahid of Lucknow. Police were also searching for terrorist Dr. Mohammad Umar in connection with this blast.

In this operation, police arrested seven accused and recovered approximately 2,900 kg of explosives, a cache of weapons, and several incriminating items.
