Earthquake tremors in Singrauli; magnitude 3.5, epicenter 10 km below the surface

Singrauli: Strong earthquake tremors were felt in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, this afternoon. The National Center for Seismology has confirmed the earthquake. According to official reports, the tremor was recorded at 2:12 PM on October 17, 2026, with a magnitude of 3.5 on the Richter scale.

The epicenter was located at a depth of 10 kilometers below the surface. The sudden shaking caused panic among local residents; however, fortunately, there have been no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property resulting from this moderate-intensity tremor. The administration is monitoring the situation.
