From Shahrukh Khan to Alia Bhatt, Bollywood celebs prayed for Punjab

New Delhi: The floods continue to wreak havoc in Punjab. People across the country are praying for the flood victims of Punjab. In such a situation, actresses Alia Bhatt and Shahrukh Khan are also praying for the affected people. Due to the floods, many people have lost their lives in Punjab and thousands have been displaced. Houses have been damaged and crops have been destroyed. Along with Alia Bhatt and Shahrukh Khan, many celebs have prayed for the Punjab victims.

Alia Bhatt wrote on her Insta story, ‘My condolences to all those affected by the floods in Punjab. I am sending love, strength and prayers to all the affected people. I express gratitude to the people working hard at the grassroots level. May God give every family the support they need so that they can recover and rebuild.’

Shahrukh Khan has also expressed concern over the Punjab floods. He has written about the Punjab floods on his Insta story, ‘My heart is melted knowing about the people who have been affected due to the floods in Punjab. I am praying for those people. Punjab should not lose courage. May God protect everyone.’ Sonu Sood has written about the Punjab floods on Instagram, ‘Thousands of people have lost everything in the devastating floods in Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. Our teams are delivering food, shelter and clothes at the ground level. Together we can help bring life back on track.’

Actor Siddharth Malhotra has sent his condolences and prayed for the flood-affected people of Punjab. He posted on Instagram and wrote, ‘My condolences to all those affected by the floods in Punjab’. He prayed for ‘strength, safety and relief for all’. Actor Sanjay Dutt also expressed his support for the people of Punjab and wrote, ‘The devastation caused by the floods in Punjab is really heartbreaking. Praying for all those affected. I will help in every possible way. May Babaji bless and protect everyone in Punjab.’

According to the Chandigarh Meteorological Centre, heavy rains are expected in parts of Punjab’s Rajpura, Dera Bassi, Mohali, Chandigarh and Kharar. Authorities have warned residents of low-lying areas to remain alert, especially areas like Gurugram, Faridabad, Chandigarh and Mohali. Farmers and those working outside have been advised to remain indoors due to the possibility of lightning.
