February 21, 2026

New Delhi: The Punjab government of Pakistan has issued an important warning to citizens during the month of Ramadan. The government has urged people to carefully distribute their zakat, charity, and donations and to refrain from providing financial support to any banned organization. The order clearly states that providing any kind of support to such organizations is a crime under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997, and legal action will be taken if caught.

According to local media reports, a list of banned organizations is available on the Punjab government’s official website. This list includes terrorist organizations, extremist groups, and unregistered trusts.

The government reiterated that the role of the general public is crucial in preventing funds from reaching extremist elements. People have been urged to thoroughly investigate any organization before donating to it and to immediately report any suspicious activity to the authorities.

  • These organizations are designated as terrorists in India.
Terrorist organizations include Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Al-Qaeda, Jamiat-ul-Ansar, ISIS, and Hizb-ut-Tahri, all of which have been designated as terrorist organizations by the Indian government. These organizations are also banned in Pakistan, but Pakistan considers them extremist organizations, not terrorists. The government order states that legal action will be taken against anyone found paying money to such organizations.

A Warning for Organizations Linked to Balochistan
The list also includes several organizations linked to Balochistan, such as Tehreek-e-Nafaz Aman, Tahaffuz Hududullah, Balochistan Waza Liberation Army, Baloch Republican Party Azad, Balochistan United Army, Islam Mujahideen, Jaish-al-Islam, and Balochistan National Liberation Army.
