Washington: US President Donald Trump is visiting Israel. While on his way to Tel Aviv, aboard Air Force One, he answered reporters’ questions on a variety of issues. He stated that current efforts, or anything else, could not get him to heaven. Trump admitted that perhaps he wasn’t made for heaven. However, he also said that he had improved the lives of many people.
“The biggest operation of my life”
Donald Trump spoke with reporters aboard Air Force One while traveling to Israel. He answered questions about the Gaza peace agreement and the situation in the Middle East. Trump said that this agreement “may be the biggest operation of my life.”
“…places no one wants to know about”
Trump said that this agreement would lead to the release of the last 20 hostages from Hamas custody. He said that the hostages were in “places no one wants to know about.” Regarding the Gaza reconstruction plan, Trump said, “First, the people will be taken care of, but after that, the work will begin almost immediately. It will look great in the years to come.”
On the difficulty of creating peace in the Middle East, Trump said, “Making peace in the Middle East is harder than ending a government shutdown. This conflict has been going on for 3,000 years, while the shutdown only lasted 10 days.”
“I’m not made for heaven.”
The reporter asked the US President about his earlier statement in which he linked efforts to end the war in Ukraine to his hopes of reaching heaven. The reporter said, “You said you were hoping to end the war in Ukraine because it might help you get to heaven.”
To this, Trump replied, “I don’t think anything can get me to heaven. I think maybe I’m not made for heaven. Maybe I’m in heaven right now, flying on Air Force One. Whether I’ll make it to heaven or not.” But I have made a lot of people’s lives better.
