India gives a big blow to Trump, does not nominate him for Nobel Peace Prize

New Delhi: US President Trump, who has been repeatedly telling his role in stopping the conflict between India and Pakistan, has got a big blow. Donald Trump wanted to take the credit for stopping this conflict and get the Nobel Prize. But India has refused to nominate Trump for this. According to the New York Times, Trump once again told PM Modi on June 17 about his role in stopping the conflict between India and Pakistan. Therefore, Trump asked Modi to nominate him for the Nobel Prize.

According to the New York Times, what President Trump wants most from Modi is politically irrelevant. It said that if it is believed that PM Modi has bowed down to US pressure for a ceasefire with a weak country, then it will have to pay a heavy price at the domestic level. PM Modi’s strong image largely depends on how tough he is towards Pakistan. Accepting that Trump had a role in the ceasefire, let alone nominating him for the Nobel Prize, would be considered akin to surrender.

Immediately after the ceasefire, Pakistan’s General Asim Munir was seen having dinner in America. Even after this, Asim Munir has visited America. The only reason for America’s kindness towards Pakistan is that Pakistan has nominated US President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

The New York Times has claimed that PM Modi and Trump had a conversation on June 17. In this, Trump talked about the Indo-Pak conflict. Trump said that Pakistan is nominating him for the Nobel. Trump wanted India to do the same. But PM Modi got angry. PM Modi had made it clear that America has no involvement in the conflict between India and Pakistan. It was told that that was the last conversation between PM Modi and Trump.
