Indore: A massive fire broke out in the Brajeshwari Annex area of Indore, resulting in the tragic deaths of six people. The fire started in the front section of the house, preventing family members from exiting and leaving them trapped inside. The incident occurred around 5:30 AM. Upon receiving the information, the Police Commissioner—along with other officials—rushed to the scene.
According to reports, the incident took place at the residence of Manoj Pugalia, a resident of Brajeshwari Annex. A car was being charged on the ground floor of the bungalow when a short circuit triggered the blaze. Most family members were on the upper floors and were unable to make their way downstairs. Meanwhile, a gas cylinder kept inside the house was engulfed by the flames and subsequently exploded. A total of six people, including Manoj Pugalia, lost their lives in this tragedy.
Indore Collector Shivam Verma stated that the fire broke out early Wednesday morning, sometime between 3:30 AM and 4:30 AM. Firefighting and administrative teams are currently engaged in rescue operations. While the fire has now been brought under control, six lives have been lost. Two floors of the building have been evacuated, and an inspection of the remaining floor is currently underway.
