IPL 2025 new schedule announced, cricket thrill will start again from May 17

New Delhi. Tata IPL 2025 has been announced to start again (Revised Schedule). A total of 17 matches will be played at 6 venues starting from May 17, 2025 till the final on June 3, 2025. The revised schedule includes two double-headers, which will be played on two Sundays. Let us tell you that IPL was suspended due to the conflict between India and Pakistan.

The BCCI has taken this decision after detailed discussions with the government and security agencies. With the consent of all the major stakeholders, it was decided that the remaining matches of the current season will now be completed

The thrill of cricket will run from 17 May to 3 June

As per the revised schedule, the remaining 17 matches of IPL 2025 will be played at 6 different venues. These matches will start from 17 May 2025 and the last match i.e. the final will be played on 3 June 2025. During this, the audience will get to see two ‘double headers’ i.e. two matches on the same day. These double headers will be held on Sunday.

Schedule of playoff matches released
The full schedule of the playoff stage of IPL 2025 has also been released. This stage is, as always, the most exciting part of the league, in which the top 4 teams enter the race for the title. The schedule of the playoff matches is as follows:

Qualifier 1 – 29 May 2025
Eliminator – 30 May 2025
Qualifier 2 – 1 June 2025
Final – 3 June 2025

The venue for these four matches will be announced by the BCCI later, but it is expected that these matches can be held in major metros or coastal safe places.

BCCI salutes the armed forces of the country
On this occasion, the BCCI has saluted the valor and determination of the Indian Armed Forces who lead the security system of the country. The board said in its statement, “We salute the courage and dedication of the Armed Forces of India, due to which the safe return of cricket has been possible. The BCCI considers national interest paramount and is committed to successfully completing the IPL with the same spirit.
