Washington/Tehran. Iran has issued a strong warning to US President Donald Trump, stating that any attack on Tehran will be considered a “full-scale war” against the country. Iran also said it would respond very forcefully in such a situation. This warning comes as Trump announced that a large fleet of US warships is being deployed to the violence-ridden Middle Eastern country.

A senior Iranian official said in an interview that the government led by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei would respond to the continuous military threats from the US in every possible way. The official stated clearly that whether the attack is limited, widespread, or under any name, Iran will consider it a full-scale war.

The Iranian official said, “This time, we will consider any kind of attack as a full-scale war against us and will give the strongest possible response to end it.” According to media reports, the US aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln and three destroyers, equipped with Tomahawk missiles, are being sent to the Middle East. In addition, the US Air Force has also deployed a dozen F-15E fighter jets to the region.
