Kailash Vijayvargiya on Pradhan’s Exit: ‘Resignation Foiled Foreign Conspiracy to Destabilise India’

Indore: Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has made a strong political statement following the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Speaking to reporters in Indore late on Saturday, the senior BJP leader claimed that Pradhan’s decision to step down had derailed the plans of “foreign forces” allegedly attempting to destabilise India through unrest similar to that witnessed in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Dharmendra Pradhan resigned on Saturday, after which the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) called off its 36-day-long agitation over alleged examination irregularities and the NEET paper leak. The protest had drawn widespread participation from students across the country.

‘Resignation Defeated Foreign Agenda’

Vijayvargiya praised Pradhan’s decision, saying the former minister had always discharged his responsibilities with honesty and dedication.

> “His resignation has foiled the plans of foreign forces that wanted to create instability in India through violence, as seen in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. I congratulate Dharmendra Pradhan for taking this step,” Vijayvargiya said.

‘He Was Ready to Quit on Day One’

The BJP leader also revealed that Pradhan had offered to resign as soon as the student protests began.

According to Vijayvargiya, Pradhan had informed the BJP president that he was willing to step down if the party believed it was necessary. However, he was advised not to resign immediately, as the leadership had not yet taken a final decision. Once the party later decided that he should resign, Pradhan accepted the decision without hesitation, he added.

Jibe at Congress

Taking a swipe at the Congress, Vijayvargiya said the opposition was celebrating despite having played no significant role in the students’ movement.

Using a Hindi idiom, he remarked that the Congress was “celebrating the birth of a child in a neighbour’s house,” implying it was taking credit for an outcome it had not influenced.

He further claimed that the student agitation was driven by students themselves and that the Congress merely tried to associate itself with the movement. Vijayvargiya also questioned whether any Congress leader had faced police action during the protests.

Hits Back at Rahul Gandhi
Responding to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent allegation that the RSS had acted like “termites” and weakened India’s education system, Vijayvargiya dismissed the remark.

He said Rahul Gandhi lacked a proper understanding of the RSS and asserted that the organisation had played a significant role in the country’s progress. According to Vijayvargiya, India was moving in the right direction with the RSS making a positive contribution to nation-building.
