Major Accident in MP: Temple Roof Collapses, 3 Girls Killed, Several Injured

Morena. A major accident has occurred in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh. On Monday afternoon, the roof of the Chamad Mata temple in Ahrauli village of the Bajranggarh area suddenly collapsed. Three innocent girls lost their lives in the accident, while three other girls, along with a couple, were seriously injured.

Joy Turns to Tragedy During Community Feast
According to reports, Satish Gaud, a resident of Ahrauli village, had come to the Chamad Mata temple with his wife Prithvi for special prayers and offerings. After the prayers were completed, a community feast and distribution of प्रसाद (prasad – consecrated food) were to be held as per tradition. Satish invited some girls from the village into the temple.

As soon as the girls sat inside the temple, the old roof slab, which was being dismantled for the construction of a new dome, cracked and the roof collapsed. The temple premises were instantly filled with screams and cries. It is reported that work was underway to build a new dome at the Chamad Mata temple. The process of removing the old roof was in progress. Local people say that the roof was weak and could not withstand the load due to the heavy work.

List of Deceased and Injured
This horrific accident has plunged the village into mourning. Two of the deceased girls were sisters.

These innocent children lost their lives:
Vaishnavi Sikawar (11 years) – Daughter of Jeetu Sikawar
Chhaya Goswami (7 years) – Daughter of Ashok Goswami
Karishma Goswami (9 years) – Daughter of Ashok Goswami

Seriously injured in the accident:
Gunjan (12 years), Pari (8 years), Vidya (6 years) – all three daughters of Yogendra Singh.
Satish Gaud and his wife Prithvi Gaud.

Administrative Action and Rescue Operation
Upon receiving information about the accident, the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) and the district administration team reached the spot with a large police force. With the help of local villagers, the debris was cleared, and the injured were immediately taken to the district hospital. The Morena SP expressed grief over the incident and said that the priority is to ensure the best possible treatment for the injured. He also ordered a detailed investigation to determine whether safety standards were neglected during the temple’s construction.
