Meta’s New AI Agent Can Send Emails, Book Tickets & Handle Everyday Tasks for You

September 09, 2026

New Delhi: Meta is stepping up its AI game with a new autonomous artificial intelligence agent designed to handle everyday tasks on behalf of users. From sending emails and filling out forms to browsing websites, booking travel and even listing a vehicle for sale, the AI is designed to do more than simply answer questions—it can actually take action for you.

What is Meta Muse AI?
Meta Muse is being developed as a personal AI agent capable of automating routine digital tasks. Unlike conventional AI chatbots, which primarily respond to questions or generate content, Muse is designed to interact with apps and websites and complete multi-step tasks with limited user intervention. Users can simply assign a task, and the AI attempts to determine the steps required to complete it.

  • What can Muse AI do?
The AI is designed to assist with a wide range of everyday activities, including:

    • Sending emails and messages
    • Filling out online forms
    • Browsing websites
    • Making purchases
    • Booking travel or tickets
    • Creating images and documents
    • Listing items such as a vehicle for sale

The goal is to reduce the amount of manual work involved in routine digital activities.

How does Meta’s agentic AI work?
AI systems that can independently plan and execute tasks are commonly known as agentic AI. Meta Muse follows this approach by identifying the skills needed for a particular task and using those capabilities to carry it out. Its ability to connect with other applications is particularly important, as it allows the AI to perform tasks that involve multiple steps rather than simply generating a response.

    Is Meta Muse AI free?
Meta says Muse AI is available to users for free through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. However, the free version may come with certain usage restrictions or limits. With agentic AI emerging as the next major step beyond traditional chatbots, Meta’s Muse could potentially turn AI from a tool users talk to into an assistant that actually gets things done.
