Mohan Cabinet Opens the Box, Approves the Continuation of These Five Schemes for the Next Five Years

Bhopal: The Dr. Mohan Government of Madhya Pradesh has taken a major decision. The Mohan Cabinet has opened the box of gifts for farmers. A significant gift has been given in the Farmer Welfare Year. Five projects worth Rs. 10,520 crore have been approved for continuation for the next five years. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, during the ongoing Assembly session on Tuesday, informed the House about the government’s commitment to the Farmer Welfare Year and the actions being taken in this regard.

He informed the House that the Madhya Pradesh Government’s Council of Ministers met today. To ensure farmers maximize the benefits of the Farmer Welfare Year, the Council of Ministers approved the continuation of five farmer-friendly schemes worth approximately Rs. 10,500 crore for the next five years, aimed at the development of farmers and agriculture-related sectors. He stated that these five schemes will continue until March 31, 2031, and Madhya Pradesh farmers will benefit the most.


  • Mustard Crop Under the Bhavantar Scheme
    Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated in the House that farmers are the backbone of our economy. Today’s entire cabinet meeting is dedicated to the farmers of the state. He stated that this is the first time in the country that the Madhya Pradesh government has taken a major step to promote the production of the pulse crop urad (black gram) and the oilseed crop mustard.

    The Chief Minister stated that we will purchase urad (black gram) at the fixed support price and will also provide farmers with a bonus of Rs. 600 per quintal on the purchased urad (black gram) in addition to the fixed support price. The Chief Minister stated that mustard production in Madhya Pradesh has increased by 28 percent this year. This year, 3.38 metric tons of mustard is expected to be produced. We are bringing the mustard crop under the Bhavantar Scheme.

    Chief Minister Dr. Yadav provided the House with a detailed account of all the decisions taken today at the Cabinet meeting. He informed that the five farmer-friendly schemes that the Cabinet has decided to continue until March 31, 2031, include the following schemes…

    Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Kisan Krishi Vikas Yojana
    Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the approval of this scheme worth ₹2008.683 crore will enable the state government to fulfil the necessary resources for the development of agriculture and allied sectors.

    Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (Per Drop More Crop)
    Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the approval of this scheme worth ₹2393.97 crore will ensure that farmers continue to receive government grants for installing sprinkler/drip irrigation systems on their farms until March 31, 2031. This scheme will ensure the continued expansion of micro-irrigation facilities on farmers’ farms for the next five years.

    National Food Security and Nutrition Mission Scheme
    Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that with the approval of this ₹3285.49 crore scheme, farmers cultivating paddy, wheat, pulses, coarse grains, and cash crops will continue to receive the necessary support from the state government to expand their acreage, increase their production, and enhance soil fertility.

    National Mission on Natural Farming
    Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that with the approval of this ₹1011.59 crore scheme, the expansion of natural farming in the state will continue until March 31, 2031. He stated that the development of natural farming is essential. It will not only benefit the health of the citizens of Madhya Pradesh, but will also improve soil fertility, increase production, protect the environment, and provide chemical-free food.

    National Edible Oil Mission – Oil Seed Scheme
    Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the approval of this ₹1,793.87 crore scheme will provide continuous benefits to all farmers in the state who produce oilseed crops.

    Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the continuation of these five farmer-friendly schemes, totaling approximately ₹10,500 crore, for the next five years will radically improve the state’s rural economy through farmers. These five schemes will also prove extremely helpful in eliminating chemical-laden production.
