MP: Sexual harassment of nursing students of Rewa, 80 students made serious allegations against the doctor

Rewa. Nursing students in the biggest hospital of Vindhya have made serious allegations of sexual harassment, misbehavior and other serious allegations against the doctor of the department. The students have collectively lodged a complaint about this. After the matter came to light, the principal has banned the entry of nursing students in the ward for their safety. Also, the Dean has given instructions for investigation considering the seriousness of the matter.

80 students complained
Nursing students are feeling threatened by the doctor of ENT department of Sanjay Gandhi Hospital. 80 B.Sc. Nursing students have complained against Dr. Ashraf in writing. The students argue that Dr. Ashraf behaves indecently with the students. The students have described themselves as unsafe due to his behavior. It has been said in the letter that the behavior of Doctor Ashraf has been mentally insulting the students many times.

What did the students say in the complaint?
The students said in the complaint that his behavior is like mentally harassing them. The clinical learning environment is also being affected due to Dr. Ashraf’s behavior. A few days ago, a minor attendant of a female patient in this ward had made serious allegations of gang rape. Action was taken against the ward boy of the hospital in this incident.

Students were stopped from entering the department
Now after the case of nursing students came to light, there is a stir in the hospital. The students had complained about this in writing to the Principal of the college. The Principal has stopped all the students from entering the department. This case will be investigated by the team of the Internal Grievance Committee constituted under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act 2013. Dr. Sunil Agarwal, Dean SS Medical College said that a committee has been formed to investigate the complaint of the students, it will submit its report in 7 days.
