
Gwalior: A horrific incident unfolded at the Gwalior Roadways Bus Stand in Madhya Pradesh on Monday night. A woman was held hostage in an empty bus and raped by a bus conductor. Acting on the victim’s complaint, police immediately arrested the accused before he could escape. According to reports, the incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. The victim, a resident of Bhind district, had gone to Shivpuri to seek information regarding a maintenance case against her husband. She had gone there to seek information because her husband had failed to appear in court.
While traveling to Shivpuri, the woman became acquainted with Vishnu Ojha, a bus conductor. Vishnu took her mobile number and promised to drop her off at Gwalior on his return trip. That evening, he called her to Shivpuri and invited her on his bus. The bus arrived in Gwalior around 9 p.m. The passengers disembarked, and Vishnu told the woman to remain on the bus, saying he would return shortly and drop her off at Bhind.
About half an hour later, Vishnu returned and locked the bus doors from inside. When the woman resisted, he threatened to kill her and raped her. After the incident, he attempted to flee, leaving her alone in the bus. The frightened woman informed Dial 112 FRV. The team took the woman to the Padav police station. Police immediately raided the bus stand and arrested the accused, Vishnu Ojha, before he could escape. The woman has undergone a medical examination, and an FIR has been filed against him for rape and threatening.
