
Sehore: If there is a passion to do something in life and there is strong will power in the mind, then even adverse circumstances cannot stop one from moving forward and reaching the destination. Kaveri Dhimar, daughter of Mandi, a small village in Bhairunda tehsil of Sehore district, is such a successful daughter who did not give up in difficult circumstances and has made not only her name but also the state and the country’s name famous all over the world in the field of sports.
Kaveri has got her name inscribed in golden letters in the field of sports with her hard work and tough struggle. Hardly anyone would have heard the story of such a tough struggle and success. Daughter Kaveri won more than 50 medals at the national and international level in Canoeing Games and made the country proud. Kaveri has won 01 bronze medal in the Asian Championship, along with this she has won 45 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals in the National Championship.
Madhya Pradesh’s daughter Kaveri, who used to catch fish in Narmada to pay off her father’s debt, has made her way to the Indian Navy with this tough struggle. Currently, daughter Kaveri is serving the country by working as AGPO (PT) officer in the Indian Navy. Kaveri’s family has 11 members, including her parents, 07 sisters and 02 brothers. Kaveri’s father used to feed his family by catching fish in Narmada.
When it became difficult to run the family due to poor financial condition and low income, the father took a loan. Daughter Kaveri became her father’s support in repaying this loan. When a sports officer saw daughter Kaveri rowing a boat in the water, he inspired Kaveri to train in canoeing games. The sports officer sent Kaveri to Water Sports Academy Bhopal for training in canoeing games. After this, daughter Kaveri made this skill her passion.
Daughter Kaveri won more than 50 medals in canoeing game one after the other at national and international level and brought laurels to the country. Kaveri won 01 bronze medal in Asian Championship and 45 gold, 06 silver and 03 bronze medals in National Championship. For this achievement, the then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan also gave daughter Kaveri a reward of Rs 11 lakh.
Daughter Kaveri got selected in Indian Navy in sports quota last year. When daughter Kaveri reached her village after getting selected in Navy, the family and villagers welcomed their daughter with great pomp. In this journey from boat to Indian Navy, daughter Kaveri had to face many struggles. Even after so many struggles and adverse circumstances, daughter Kaveri did not lose courage, rather she kept moving forward with her high spirits.
The result of this high spirits and hard work is that Kaveri, who used to catch fish by rowing a boat to pay off her father’s loan of 40 thousand rupees, is now serving the country as an officer in the Indian Navy. Kaveri’s parents are very happy about their daughter’s success. Kaveri’s father says that we had not even dreamt of the struggle with which daughter Kaveri has achieved this success, in fact, a daughter should be like Kaveri.
In fact, the success that daughter Kaveri has achieved by facing struggles is an example for every daughter and every family. The story of daughter Kaveri’s life is not just a success story, but it is a living example of women empowerment. Despite financial constraints, social challenges and limited resources, Kaveri did not give up. Kaveri’s success shows that where there is courage, the paths are made on their own, daughters are not weak, they just need an opportunity. Daughter Kaveri’s success is a living example of this.
