On PM Modi’s statement of ‘new normal’, Pakistan started invoking UN Charter and principles of peace

May 14, 2025

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the nation after the success of Operation Sindoor, had said that India has only postponed the action against terrorism, not ended it. PM Modi, while calling Operation Sindoor the new normal, had spoken of further attacks in a warning tone. PM Modi reached Adampur Airbase in Jalandhar, Punjab the next day and gave a passionate speech among the Air Force personnel. Pakistan, irritated by PM Modi’s statements, has now started invoking UN Charter and principles of peace.

The spokesperson of Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has called PM Modi’s statement provocative and said that at a time when international efforts are going on for peace and regional stability, the statement of the Indian Prime Minister shows provocation. Expressing its commitment to ceasefire, Pakistan claimed that we are taking steps to reduce tension and regional stability.

Pakistan alleged that the Indian action is a dangerous precedent and it pushes the region towards crisis. Citing the UN Charter and principles of peace, Pakistan has said that nobody can challenge the principles and objectives of the UN Charter. Pakistan has also proved this by protecting its sovereignty, territorial integrity and citizens. Pakistan has said that it will keep an eye on every activity of India and has appealed to the world community to do the same.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has said that the Indian Prime Minister’s statement can have a bad impact on the relationship between the two countries. The world community should look at this. It is worth noting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that Operation Sindoor is India’s new normal and that India will no longer tolerate nuclear blackmailing. It will kill terrorists in their homes.
