Pakistani intelligence agency ISI had plotted a grenade attack on Ram temple, STF revealed

Faridabad/Ayodhya. A joint team of Gujarat and Haryana STF on Monday revealed that Pakistani intelligence agency ISI was plotting a grenade attack on Ram temple in Ayodhya. The STF team arrested a 19-year-old suspected terrorist Abdul Rehman from Pali in Faridabad on Sunday evening. Two hand grenades were recovered from Rehman, a resident of Milkipur in Ayodhya.

According to ATS sources, accused Abdul Rehman was in contact with the terrorist organization and Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. During interrogation, it has come to light that he had plotted a grenade attack on Ram temple. A case has been registered against Rehman at Dabua police station. ATS produced him in court on Monday morning and took him on 10-day remand for questioning.

Abdul Rehman is connected to ISKP module:
The accused is also being questioned by National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Intelligence Bureau (IB) officials. It has been revealed that Abdul Rehman, who studied till 10th standard, used to run a shop and e-rickshaw in Milkipur. He was connected to ISI’s Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) module about ten months ago. From there, he was given training on online video call. During this time, he was instigated for terrorist activity and was given many tasks, which included blasting the Ram temple.

He had left home to go to Markaz:
Pictures and videos of many religious places have been found in the accused’s mobile phone. He had left home four-five days ago saying that he was going to Markaz in Delhi. He reached Faridabad via Delhi by train. Here he was staying in a room in a farm house on the banks of Bans Road in Pali under the name Shankar. It was here that someone provided him with grenades.

STF reached Ayodhya:
According to officials, STF Palwal team has reached Ayodhya, the house of the accused. The team has been sent to search his house and investigate. Suspicious recovery has also been found from there.

Came in contact with PK, caught after interrogation
The agencies suspect that while staying in Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi, Abdul Rehman met Parvez Ahmed alias PK, who handles the financial network of Lashkar, Hizbul Mujahideen and other organizations in Jammu. ATS caught PK from a guest house in Nizamuddin on February 27. Rehman was arrested after questioning him.

Rehman was also planning to commit a terrorist incident in Faridabad
The arrest of the suspected terrorist in Pali, Faridabad has raised questions on the alertness of the local police. It is feared that sleeper cells of the terrorist organization are active in Faridabad as well. According to sources, the arrested Abdul Rehman was also planning to commit a terrorist incident in Faridabad. The cases of arrest of some suspected terrorists who were caught earlier also point towards this. This fact has once again been strengthened by the fact that accused Abdul Rehman was provided with hand grenades in Pali itself. The accused had reached Faridabad from Ayodhya in UP. The STF Palwal team is now engaged in gathering information about who had asked him to come to Faridabad and where he passed through to reach Faridabad. Also, who had provided him with hand grenades in Faridabad. According to the information received from STF Palwal, the team was given an information by Gujarat ATS on 28 February.

Intelligence agencies active in Ayodhya
Security and intelligence agencies have become active after the news of the arrest of 19-year-old Abdul Rehman, a resident of Majnai Bazaar of Inayatnagar police station in Ayodhya, in Haryana. The agencies are engaged in investigating his history and present. Abdul Rehman has been arrested from Faridabad with two live hand grenades on the information of the central intelligence agency on the charge of being involved in terrorist activity. The youth has studied till class 10 and after completing his studies, he came in contact with the Jamaat and has stayed in Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi. On 1st March, he left home saying that he was going to Delhi to meet a friend and was to return on Tuesday, but the news of his arrest came. Abdul Rehman’s father Abu Bakar runs a chicken shop in his house in the name of his son. Apart from the mother, the family has three younger sisters.
