Russian President will visit India, Modi-Putin will formulate strategy amid Trump’s pressure?

New Delhi: Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to visit India soon. India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has confirmed the program of Putin’s visit to India. PM Modi had invited Putin to visit India. NSA Ajit Doval said that he is very excited about Putin’s visit to India. Ajit Doval made this announcement in Moscow on Thursday.

NSA Ajit Doval, who went on a visit to Moscow, said that India and Russia are strategic partners of each other. His visit will further deepen this partnership between the two countries. President Putin will visit New Delhi at a time when a trade war is going on between America and India. In such a situation, India and Russia can together formulate a strategy to deal with America. Ajit Doval said that President Putin will visit India by the end of this year. The Russian President will come to India at a time when America has imposed a 50 percent tariff on India due to its frustration over buying oil from Russia. Therefore, this visit of Putin is being considered very important.

Russian President Putin has visited India several times since the year 2000. His last visit was in December 2021. He came to attend the 21st India-Russia summit. During this, he met PM Modi in New Delhi and made many important agreements. After this, President Putin could not come to India after the Russia-Ukraine war started from 2022. In such a situation, he will come to India after 4 years. He will participate in the 23rd India-Russia summit.

During his visit to India, President Putin can discuss the issue of defense cooperation, energy and trade, geopolitical dynamics, Ukraine war and heavy tariffs imposed by the US on India’s purchase of Russian oil. America will also keep a close eye on this visit of Putin.

This will be the 6th time in PM Modi’s 11-year tenure that Putin will visit India. Earlier, he has visited India in December 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2021. He could not come to India in 2019-20 due to the outbreak of Kovid-19 and then in 2022-24 due to the war with Ukraine. Now there is a possibility of coming to India for the 6th time in December.
