Scindia told the secret of rebellion and closed room, broke silence on the statements of Digvijay and Kamal Nath

Two veteran Congress leaders Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh have created a political stir by giving different reasons for the fall of the government by Jyotiraditya Scindia. Digvijay Singh has made public the matter of closed room 5 years ago in a podcast. He said that, not because of him but because of Kamal Nath, Scindia left the Congress and went to the BJP and the government fell. After this, Kamal Nath has also openly attacked Digvijay Singh. For the first time amid the ongoing attack and counter-attack between the two leaders, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has given his reaction.

In an informal conversation in the capital Delhi on Tuesday, Amar Ujala asked Union Minister Scindia about his opinion on this mutual tug of war between Digvijay and Kamal Nath. He said that ‘I would not like to go into the past.’ In a discussion with the media, Scindia said that I do not need to say anything on this issue. The statements of both the leaders are making it clear what was going on between them? And what is going on now? He told, ‘As far as my relations with Digvijay Singh ji and Kamal Nath ji are concerned, they are years old family relations. Even today I give the same respect to both the leaders as I used to give earlier.’

Scindia said, “When there was a Congress government in Madhya Pradesh. Then I had clearly told my supporting ministers that, do not come to me for any work related to the government. Kamal Nath ji is the head of the government. You people should talk to him directly. I will not interfere in the matters related to your ministries.”

When Jyotiraditya Scindia was asked the reason for the rebellion, he said, “During the 2018 assembly elections, I went to campaign in other areas of the state apart from Gwalior Chambal division. During this time I had promised the Congress candidates. If the Congress government is formed in the state, then the development work of your areas will be done with priority. When Kamal Nath ji became the Chief Minister, I used to meet him only for these things. I also told him where I had gone for campaigning. I have promised to get development work done to all those people. Now the development work of these areas should be completed with priority.”

On the matter of toppling the Kamal Nath government and leaving the Congress, Union Minister Scindia says that my family has years old relations with both the leaders. Whenever Digvijay Singh ji used to come home to meet my father. Then father was busy in some other work, then it was my responsibility to sit and talk with Digvijay Singh ji. Kamal Nath ji is also equivalent to my father. I have been calling him Kamal Uncle since childhood.

Scindia said, “When it comes to respect and self-respect, one has to think. Many things were said about me and my family many times in closed rooms. But I did not pay attention to them. But when some things were said against me and my family in public, I had to take action.”

Scindia said, “Kamal Nath ji used to make public comments about me. When these things came up within the party, he was asked to apologize for these. But he did not do so. If there was any talk in a closed room, the matter would have ended. After all these developments, I had to take action. Because everything has a limit. Before leaving the Congress, I had told all these things to a top leader of the party. Only after this I decided to change the party. ‘

In fact, in a recent interview, when Digvijay Singh was asked about the fall of the Congress government, he said that the differences between Kamal Nath and Scindia were not ideological but personal. Digvijay Singh said that I am not responsible for the fall of the government. I had already warned that Jyotiraditya Scindia could leave. After this, there is a big industrialist, who has good relations with both Kamal Nath and Scindia.

I went to him and said that you talk, otherwise our government will fall in the fight between the two. After this, we met at the industrialist’s house for dinner. Where an attempt was made to settle the matter, but the issues that were raised were not resolved. But there was a discussion, but it was not followed later. After this, Digvijay Singh said that those were minor issues, like do whatever you say in Gwalior Chambal division. Talks did not work out on some such issues. He later said that if Kamal Nath had agreed to Scindia on the issues of Gwalior Chambal division, would the government not have fallen, to which Digvijay Singh says yes, then maybe the government would not have fallen.

After Digvijay Singh’s statement, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath also issued a statement and put forth his side. Kamal Nath wrote on the social media platform X, “Recently some statements have been made about the fall of the Congress government led by me in Madhya Pradesh in 2020. I just want to say that there is no use in digging up old things, but it is true that apart from personal ambition, Jyotiraditya Scindia felt that Digvijay Singh was running the government.
