
New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday participated in a workshop organized for BJP MPs. During this, he praised the GST reforms and a resolution was also passed. After this, the party will start a campaign to take the benefits of GST to the public across the country. PM Modi was with the MPs on Sunday and participated in many sessions on the first day of the workshop.
According to sources, in this meeting held in Parliament House, PM Modi told the MPs to hold at least one Tiffin meeting in every assembly of their parliamentary constituency in a month. Its purpose is to meet the common people directly and listen to their problems and solve them. PM Modi also instructed that before and after the parliamentary committee meeting, meet the concerned minister and officials to get better information on the subjects. He also said that always behave properly with the officials.
During the workshop, emphasis was also laid on cleanliness campaign. PM Modi gave the example of Singapore and said that only when we think and do something new, that is, innovative, we will be able to move forward. He said that cleanliness (Swachhta Abhiyan) is possible not only with money, but also with effort. He talked about understanding the problems of rural and urban areas separately.
‘Keep an eye on the beneficiaries of government schemes’
During the workshop, Prime Minister Modi asked the MPs to spread awareness about the ban on online gaming in rural areas. PM Modi said that due to lack of information, many rural families are being affected by this problem. MPs were also instructed to avoid promoting corporate agenda or asking biased questions. The Prime Minister asked all the MPs to keep a constant eye on the beneficiaries of government schemes, so that the benefits of the scheme reach the right people.
MPs of BJP’s allies will also participate in the meeting
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that MPs of BJP’s allies will also participate in the meeting on Monday. Prime Minister Modi will address all the members of the ruling coalition. In this meeting, the MPs will also be included in the mock polling exercise to prepare for the Vice Presidential election to be held on September 9.
