US: Trump unleashes force to stop illegal immigrants, sends soldiers, tanks and helicopters to Mexico border

New Delhi. The US has deployed 1500 soldiers to stop illegal immigration on its southern border with Mexico. These include 500 Marine Corps and 1000 soldiers. The White House also shared a video of this on X, in which American tanks, helicopters and army soldiers can be seen reaching the border. Along with this, it is written in the X post, “The US Marine Corps is helping CBP (Customs and Border Protection) in the mission of protecting America on the border.” And that, “Promise made, promise kept.”

The US Defense Ministry had said in a statement on January 22 that within 36 hours of President Donald Trump signing the executive order, it has been decided to send 500 Marine Corps and 1000 soldiers to the southern border. President Trump, in his first address after his swearing-in, declared an emergency on the border with Mexico. He had issued an order to immediately send troops to the border.

1,000 soldiers and 500 Marines reached the border
The Defense Ministry said in a statement that the soldiers include 1,000 soldiers and 500 Marines, who were on standby in Southern California for possible help in dealing with the forest fires in Los Angeles County two weeks ago. There are already 2500 American soldiers deployed on the border with Mexico. Now after the inclusion of 1500 soldiers, there has been an increase of 60 percent.

Preparations to deport more than 5000 people
The US Defense Department had said in its statement that apart from the active ground force, the Defense Department will also provide airlift facilities to deport more than 5000 people detained by Customs and Border Protection (Force) in the border areas of the US cities of San Diego and El Paso, Texas. According to reports, 538 illegal immigrant criminals have also been deported.

C-130 Hercules and C-17 Globemaster also deployed on the border
According to the Defense Ministry, currently two C-130 Hercules and two C-17 Globemaster aircraft along with UH-72 Lakota military helicopters have been sent to the Mexican border. Also, intelligence facilities have been increased on the border, so that illegal immigrants can be identified and deported.
