The voice of the movement for the liberation of Mathura and Kashi will be vocal in the Saint Conference to be held on 25 and 26 January at the Vishwa Hindu Parishad camp located at Old GT Road Sector 18 Jhunsi. Liberation of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi from occupation has been included in the agenda. This agenda will be approved in the VHP Guidance Board meeting to be held on Friday and after that guidance will be sought from the saints while placing it in the Saint Conference.
Apart from Kashi-Mathura, a proposal to abolish the Waqf Board and Places of Worship Act i.e. Places of Worship Act 1991 will also be passed in the Saint Conference. Demand for implementing population control law will also be raised in the conference. Apart from this, other topics can also be included in the agenda in the meeting of the Guidance Board. Swami Vasudevanand, a member of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust, will preside over the conference.
Juna Peethadheeshwar Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri, Swami Chidanand Muni of Parmarth Niketan, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar of all Akharas, Mahamandaleshwar and all other prominent saints have been invited to the conference. General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust and Central Vice President of VHP Champat Rai, Central President Alok Kumar, Organization General Secretary Milind Parande, Joint General Secretary Vinayakrao Deshpande, All India Saint Contact Chief Ashok Tiwari and Central Joint General Secretary Koteshwar Sharma and other officials will be present.
Waqf Board should be abolished, government should form Sanatan Board
Mahakumbh Nagar. Saints and Mahants who reached the world’s largest fair have demanded the formation of Sanatan Board from the government. In a press conference called on Thursday under the leadership of Akhada Parishad President Mahant Ravindra Puri, the saints called Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as the hosts of Mahakumbh and asked for two dakshinas. Firstly, the Waqf Board should be abolished and secondly, the Sanatan Board should be formed. The saints said in one voice that we need the Sanatan Board from the government and will not leave the Maha Kumbh without it.
Storyteller Devkinandan Thakur said that we need the Sanatan Board to further our cause. He also announced to present the draft of the constitution of the ‘Sanatan Board’ in the Sanatan Dharma Sansad to be held on January 27 at the camp in Sector 17. He said that January 27 will be celebrated as the ‘Day of Freedom of Religion’ and representatives of all the Akharas, the four Shankaracharyas and people associated with Sanatan Dharma will be present in the Dharma Sansad. Mahant Ravindra Puri appealed that all the saints, mahants, storytellers in the Maha Kumbh should leave their work and join the Dharma Sansad on January 27.
There will be no demand for the Sanatan Board, it will be announced
Mahant Swami Yatindranand Giri of Juna Akhara said that we will take the Sanatan Board. Anand Akhada’s Peethadheeshwar Swami Balakanand Giri said that Sanatan is traditional, spread all over the world. Today there is a need to save our monasteries and temples. For this, there is an urgent need for a Sanatan board. The demand for a Sanatan board will not be raised in the Dharma Sansad, it will be announced.
Will leave Kumbh only after the board is formed
Mahant Swami Premanand Puri of Ujjain’s Arji Hanuman Ji temple said that all the boards formed are 200 years old. This is Aryavart where there was only one religion, Sanatan. We need dakshina and our host is strong. Will leave Kumbh only after the Sanatan board is formed. We need a constitutional institution in the form of a board.
