Preference means imposing lower tariff on Indian goods compared to countries like Vietnam. For example, if 20 percent tariff is imposed on Vietnamese goods, then India will have less tariff than this.

India’s trade delegation, led by Special Secretary and Chief Negotiator Rajesh Agarwal, is currently in Washington to finalize the agreement.
