7 members of a family returning from Bageshwar Dham’s Hanuman Katha committed suicide in the car, had come to Panchkula from Dehradun

Panchkula: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Sector-27 of Panchkula. Where 7 members of a family of Dehradun committed suicide by consuming poison in the car. It is said that the bodies of all were found locked in a car parked on the road outside a house in Sector 27. According to information received from sources, the family was heavily in debt, that is why they took this step.

According to the information, Praveen Mittal, a resident of Dehradun, had come to Panchkula with his family to attend the Hanuman Katha program organized at Bageshwar Dham. After the program was over, while returning to Dehradun, they took this step of mass suicide. The deceased include Praveen Mittal, age 42, resident of Dehradun, Praveen’s parents, Praveen’s wife and three children including 2 daughters and a son.

The police have also recovered a suicide note from the spot. At the same time, the police is investigating the matter. At present, all the seven bodies have been kept in the mortuary of a private hospital in Panchkula. Panchkula DCP Himadri Kaushik and DCP Law and Order Amit Dahiya have reached the spot and are engaged in investigation. The forensic team has reached the spot and collected samples for investigation.

Panchkula DCP Himadri Kaushik said that 7 people of the same family committed suicide by consuming poison in the car. The family had come from Dehradun, Uttarakhand to attend Dhirendra Shastri’s Hanuman Katha. According to the DCP, the family was heavily in debt. Perhaps that is why they took this step. At present, all the bodies have been sent for post-mortem and further action is being taken.
