According to the Pakistani Army, at least 45 terrorists have been killed in clashes in three different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province from 10 to 13 September.
According to Radio Pakistan report, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited Banu with Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir and participated in a high-level meeting. He made it clear that Pakistan’s campaign against terrorism will continue with full force and no compromise or ambiguity will be tolerated.
According to the news agency, Shahbaz Sharif alleged that the terrorist leaders and masterminds responsible for the attacks in Pakistan are running their activities from Afghan soil. Claiming the involvement of infiltrator Afghan citizens in terrorist incidents, he stressed the urgent need for the return of illegal Afghan residents currently living in Pakistan.
Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan rejects politicization and misleading statements on the issue of terrorism. During this visit, the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal also visited the military hospital in Bannu to meet the injured soldiers.
At the same time, according to the Pakistani Army’s media wing ISPR, 22 TTP insurgents were killed during an intelligence-based operation in Bajaur district. 13 TTP terrorists were killed in South Waziristan district, while 12 soldiers lost their lives. In another operation at Lal Qila ground in Lower Der district, 10 terrorists and 7 soldiers were killed. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the terrorists in these operations. The ISPR also claimed that intelligence reports clearly confirmed the physical involvement of Afghan civilians in these attacks.
