Police Take Major Action in Rape Case, State President’s Brother Arrested

New Delhi: Ramkumar Bindal, elder brother of Himachal Pradesh BJP President Rajeev Bindal, has been arrested by police in Solan in a rape case. Solan Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh confirmed the incident. He stated that the woman has been produced in court and her statement recorded. The police are conducting a fair and thorough investigation.

Gaurav Singh stated that a victim filed a report at the Women’s Police Station stating that she had been suffering from a medical condition for a long time, had received treatment through scientific methods, but had not received any relief. Following this, on October 7th, she went to a doctor near the Old Bus Stand in Solan. According to the woman, a man sitting there asked her where she was from. After asking for her address, he made her sit for an examination. The man then touched her hand and began pressing her veins. He then proceeded to ask about her sexual problems.

The woman said she told him everything about her illness. He assured her that he would cure her 100%. He even showed her a book related to the condition. He then began examining her. During the examination, he said he also wanted to check her private parts. She refused, but the accused, under the pretense of examining her, committed the indecent act.

The victim pushed him away and came out. She subsequently filed a complaint at the Solan police station. Her statement has also been recorded in court. The crime scene has been inspected by a team from the SFSL Junga. Solan Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh stated that technical evidence has also been analyzed. Police have arrested the accused, Ramkumar Bindal, a resident of Solan, and he will be presented in court. Further investigations are ongoing.
