
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the northeastern state of Sikkim on Monday to lay the foundation stone for, inaugurate, and dedicate projects worth over ₹4,000 crore. Subsequently, starting Tuesday, he will embark on a two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh (UP). In his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi, he will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for development projects exceeding ₹6,350 crore.
PM Modi will gift Sikkim projects spanning various sectors, including infrastructure, connectivity, health, education, energy, urban development, environment, tourism, and agriculture. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for a 100-bed Ayurveda hospital at Yangang in Namchi. He will also inaugurate a 30-bed hospital at NIT Deorali.
*What to Expect from PM Modi’s Sikkim Visit?*
He is scheduled to arrive in Gangtok at approximately 3:00 PM on April 27. On the morning of April 28, at around 9:30 AM, the Prime Minister will visit the Orchidarium located in Gangtok. The ‘Swarnajayanti Maitri Manjari Park’ has been developed into a world-class Orchid Experience Centre—equipped with state-of-the-art facilities—to showcase the state’s ecological and floral heritage.
*To Flag Off Amrit Bharat Express Trains in UP*
On Tuesday, while in UP, the Prime Minister will attend a women’s conference in Varanasi. He will also flag off two new Amrit Bharat Express trains. These trains will operate between Varanasi and Pune, and between Ayodhya and Mumbai. On Wednesday, he will offer prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Following this, the Prime Minister will travel to Hardoi to inaugurate the Ganga Expressway.

Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Ganga Expressway in Hardoi on Wednesday. The Ganga Expressway is a 594-kilometer-long, 6-lane, high-speed greenfield corridor. Constructed at a cost of approximately ₹36,000 crore, this expressway will reduce travel time between Meerut and Prayagraj from the current 10–12 hours to approximately six hours. Emergency Airstrip: A 3.5-kilometer-long emergency airstrip has also been constructed on the expressway in Shahjahanpur, which can be utilized in emergency situations.
