Date Set for Cabinet Expansion of the Samrat Government; Ministerial Allocations by Party Finalized!

Patna: The date for the cabinet expansion of the Samrat Choudhary-led government in Bihar has been finalized. A grand swearing-in ceremony will be held on May 7 at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, where new ministers will take the oath of office and secrecy. According to BJP sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are also expected to arrive in Patna for the occasion.

Preparations for the cabinet expansion are being given their final touches at Gandhi Maidan. According to sources, a total of 27 ministers are likely to be sworn in during this expansion. Currently, the cabinet consists only of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and two Deputy Chief Ministers—Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Vijendra Prasad Yadav—who represent the JD(U) quota; thus, this expansion will give the government its full form.

Ministerial Share for Each Party?
Plans are in place to ensure representation for all constituent parties of the NDA in this cabinet expansion. According to available information, 12 MLAs from the BJP and 11 from the Janata Dal (United) are likely to be sworn in as ministers. Additionally, Chirag Paswan’s party, the LJP(R), may secure two ministerial berths. There is also a possibility that one minister each from Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party (HAM) and Upendra Kushwaha’s RLM will be inducted into the cabinet. Through this balanced approach, the Samrat Choudhary government aims to accommodate all sections of the state’s population as well as its coalition partners.

Preparations at Gandhi Maidan
In view of the swearing-in ceremony, the Patna administration is on high alert. A grand stage is being erected at Gandhi Maidan, and stringent security arrangements have been put in place. Immense enthusiasm regarding this cabinet expansion is evident among the workers of both the BJP and the JD(U).
