New Delhi: Delhi Police has intensified its investigation into the violence that broke out during the protest march organized by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), with investigators claiming that the unrest may have been part of a well-planned conspiracy rather than a spontaneous protest.

According to police sources, footage from AI-enabled surveillance cameras installed across the New Delhi district is being used to identify those involved in attacking security personnel, damaging government property, and creating disturbances. Several suspects have already been identified, and their criminal backgrounds are being verified before further legal action is taken.

Officials said the AI-based camera network is helping investigators analyze movements and identify individuals captured in CCTV footage. Those found responsible for assaulting police personnel or vandalizing public property are expected to face strict action.

Police Probe Points to ‘Planned Violence’

Sources associated with the investigation claim that several protesters who did not participate in the violence have shared videos and information with the police. Based on these inputs, investigators suspect that a group had allegedly gathered with the intention of escalating the protest into violent clashes with security forces. According to sources, intelligence agencies are examining the role of Telegram groups, WhatsApp channels, and QR code-based registration systems that were allegedly used to coordinate participants. Investigators believe the protest was supported through an organized digital network and are looking into whether individuals with political affiliations played a role in its planning.

Phones, Fake SIM Cards and Larger Conspiracy Angle

Police sources further claim that some individuals allegedly used stolen mobile phones or SIM cards registered in the names of others to communicate during the protest in an attempt to avoid detection. Investigators are mapping mobile numbers active around the protest site and Parliament to establish communication links and identify those involved.

Sources also allege that the objective of certain groups was to provoke large-scale unrest, overwhelm security forces, and attempt to move towards Parliament. However, these claims are part of the ongoing investigation and have not yet been independently verified.
