
New Delhi: Home Minister Amit Shah performed Bhoomi Pujan for Janaki Temple in Sitamarhi today before the Bihar Assembly elections. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was also present on this occasion. Amit Shah reached Sitamarhi from Delhi especially for the Bhoomi Pujan of this temple today. A temple of Mother Sita is being built in Punaura Dham of Sitamarhi. This place is considered to be the birthplace of Mother Sita in mythological beliefs.
Today, in a religious ritual, Home Minister Amit Shah performed Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of this temple. Today Punaura Dham has been beautifully decorated. A large number of people have come here to participate in this ritual. A grand temple of Mother Sita is to be built in 67 acres in Punaura Dham. By the way, a temple of Mother Sita is already established in Punaura Dham. It is known as Sita Janmasthal. A deadline of 11 months has been set for the construction of this temple.
On the foundation stone laying of Maa Janaki temple, the women of Mithila have expressed their happiness in folk songs. The women who reached here remembered the birth of Maa Sita and the stories related to her by singing Maithili songs. On this occasion, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha said, “This is an expression of devotion towards Mata Sita. This will make every Bihari proud. This day will mark the path to developed Bihar as Home Minister Amit Shah and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of the temple.”
