Arrested Terrorist Makes Sensational Revelation: Kalkaji Temple and Lotus Temple Were on Lashkar’s Hitlist!

New Delhi: The Special Cell of the Delhi Police arrested Lashkar terrorist Shabbir Ahmed from the Delhi border on Monday, March 30. Following his arrest, security agencies subjected him to interrogation. Shabbir Ahmed has revealed a conspiracy to carry out attacks on major temples and public places across Delhi. After conducting reconnaissance of Delhi’s Kalkaji Temple, Lotus Temple, and Chhatarpur Temple, Shabbir had sent videos of these locations to his handler, who is based in Pakistan.

The terrorist had also conducted surveillance of the bustling market area in Connaught Place. Interrogation has revealed that the Pakistani intelligence agency, ISI, and Lashkar are now attempting to establish a new terrorist organization in Bangladesh, modeled after the ‘TRF’ (The Resistance Front). To this end, Bangladeshi youths have been recruited.

Shabbir Ahmed Lone was first apprehended in Kashmir in 2015 alongside Sajjad Gul, who currently serves as the ‘launching commander’ for the TRF in Pakistan. Shabbir became active following a change of government in Bangladesh and subsequently expanded his module across Delhi, South India, and West Bengal.

During interrogation, Shabbir Ahmed Lone disclosed that Lashkar had targeted Delhi’s busiest temples. Comprehensive reconnaissance was conducted on the Kalkaji Temple, Lotus Temple, and Chhatarpur Temple with the specific intent of executing a major attack. Additionally, videos of areas such as Connaught Place were also transmitted to Pakistan. These revelations have prompted the capital’s security apparatus to heighten its vigilance even further.

Shabbir further revealed that top-ranking terrorists from the ISI and Lashkar are now establishing Bangladesh as their new operational hub. Youths have been recruited there to form a new organization similar to the TRF (The Resistance Front). Sajjad Gul, who has previously served jail time alongside Shabbir, is now managing this entire front from Pakistan and orchestrating terrorist activities in Kashmir.

The Connection Between Sajjad Gul and Shabbir
In 2015, Shabbir and Sajjad Gul were apprehended together in Kashmir. After being released from prison, Sajjad fled to Pakistan, while Shabbir was relocated to Bangladesh. After spending a considerable amount of time underground there, he has recently resurfaced. The NIA has placed a bounty worth hundreds of thousands on Sajjad Gul, who is currently directing anti-India operations from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
