Bengal and Assam Turn Saffron; NDA Wave in Puducherry… Victory Celebrations at BJP Headquarters

New Delhi: It is now certain that the BJP will form the government in three out of the five states that went to polls (West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry). In Kerala, the Congress has emerged as the single largest party, while in Tamil Nadu, actor Vijay’s TVK has taken the lead. Following the BJP’s resounding victories in Bengal and Assam—and the NDA’s triumph in Puducherry—preparations for victory celebrations have begun at the BJP headquarters in Delhi.

BJP workers are raising slogans of “Jai Shri Ram to Modi Ji.” BJP National President Nitin Navin and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have arrived at the BJP headquarters. Other senior leaders, including Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Health Minister JP Nadda, are also arriving at the party headquarters. Prime Minister Modi is expected to arrive shortly.

The Lotus Has Bloomed in West Bengal – PM Modi
Expressing his gratitude to the people of the state following the BJP’s resounding victory in Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted a message on ‘X’. He wrote: “The lotus has bloomed in West Bengal. The 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections will be remembered forever. It is a victory for the power of the people. The public has placed its trust in the politics of good governance. I bow down to every single citizen of West Bengal. The people have given the BJP a magnificent mandate, and I assure them that our party will make every possible effort to fulfill the dreams and aspirations of the people of West Bengal. We will provide a government that ensures opportunities and dignity for every section of society. This historic victory for the BJP in West Bengal would not have been possible without the years of hard work and struggle put in by countless party workers. I salute them all. They worked tirelessly at the grassroots level for years, faced every kind of adversity, and advanced our development agenda. This is the true strength of our party.”

Following the resounding victory in the Bengal elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah posted an emotional message on the social media platform ‘X’. He wrote, “My humble salutations to the people of Bengal. This resounding mandate is a stern rebuke from the people of Bengal to those who champion fear, appeasement, and infiltrators. It marks the triumph of PM Narendra Modi’s unwavering faith over the politics of fear propagated by the TMC. For every BJP worker like myself, this is a moment of immense pride—for today, from the very source of the holy Ganges at Gangotri all the way to Ganga Sagar, the saffron flag of the BJP is flying high with dignity everywhere.

He further added, “This historic victory secured by the BJP in Bengal is the culmination of the sacrifice, struggle, and dedication of our countless workers. It is a victory for the resilience of those families who, despite enduring violence, never abandoned the saffron flag. I pay my humble tributes to all those workers—and their families—who, during this arduous journey of the BJP’s rise from obscurity to a massive majority today, laid down their lives, faced violence, suffered torture, and yet never wavered from the path of their ideology. Through this overwhelming mandate, the people of Bengal have paid a fitting tribute to all those martyred BJP workers. For this historic triumph, I extend my congratulations to BJP National President Nitin Navin, West Bengal BJP State President Samik Bhattacharya, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Suvendu Adhikari, and every single worker who stood firm in every nook and corner of Bengal.
