ED raids former CM Bhupesh Baghel’s house at 6 am, police forces deployed outside the house

Raipur: In Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, on Friday morning, ED raided the office of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. This action started at 6 am. ED officials reached Baghel’s house. CRPF personnel were also with them. A large number of police and personnel are present on the spot. Bhupesh Baghel informed about this on social media. He told that ED has come to his house. It is the last day of the assembly session and today the issue of trees being cut in Tamnar for Adani was to be raised. Baghel alleged that for this reason Saheb has sent ED. Earlier also in March 2025, ED raided Baghel’s house. Congress media department has also confirmed this.

In the liquor scam case, ED Raipur is raiding the hideouts of Chaitanya Baghel, son of former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel.

Raids were conducted earlier too
In March 2025 also, ED had raided Bhupesh Baghel’s place. Baghel had told that his family does farming together. He has 140 acres of land. He had said that he has everything that he has declared. ED had investigated this. Baghel had also told that Rs 33 lakh in cash was received from different people. This money was received from his wife, son, daughter-in-law and daughters. He had said that he does farming and dairy work. This also includes Stridhan. Stridhan means the property that a woman gets at the time of marriage.

Bhupesh Baghel expressed displeasure
This time also Bhupesh Baghel has made similar allegations. He says that ED has raided his house because of asking questions in the assembly. It remains to be seen what the ED finds in this raid and what happens next. At present, this matter remains a topic of discussion in Chhattisgarh politics.
