Fearing Indian airstrikes, radar system deployed at forward base in Sialkot

  • April 29, 2025

New Delhi: It has been seven days since the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. After this attack, Pakistan is in fear amid the possibility of military action from India. In such a situation, the Pakistani army is taking several steps to avoid any kind of possible attack from India.

According to the information, to detect the Indian airstrikes, the Pakistani army is deploying its radar system at forward locations in Sialkot sector.

The Pakistani army is also deploying electronic warfare at forward locations to detect India’s movements in the areas adjacent to Ferozepur. Recently, Pakistan deployed TPS-77 radar in Chor Cantonment, just 58 kilometers from the international border.

At the same time, Pakistan violated the ceasefire for the fifth consecutive day and fired on the LoC. The Pakistani army started firing in Kupwara, Baramulla and Akhnoor sectors without any provocation. The Indian Army gave a befitting reply to Pakistan.

Let us tell you that 26 people were killed and 17 were injured in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April. This attack was carried out in the Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam, in which the terrorists selectively targeted people.

After the Pahalgam attack, the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi suspended the Indus Water Treaty with immediate effect. This is the first time that India has taken such a big and strict action. There have been three major wars between India and Pakistan but this treaty has never been suspended before.

Regarding the decisions taken in the Cabinet Committee meeting, the Ministry of External Affairs had issued a statement saying that the Indus Water Treaty of 1960 was suspended with immediate effect. This ban will remain until Pakistan stops supporting cross-border terrorism.
