
Prayagraj: A sudden fire broke out in the Mahakumbh Mela area of Prayagraj today. The fire caused initial panic in the fair area, but due to strong arrangements, the fire was prevented from spreading and the fire was controlled within 15 to 20 minutes. It is said that this fire spread rapidly due to the blast in the cylinder kept near the tent of Geeta Press Gorakhpur.
There was no loss of life in the fire in the fair area. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself was present in the fair area today. He also inspected the spot. It is said that no akhara has suffered any damage in this fire, all the akharas are safe. UP Chief Fire Officer Pramod Sharma said that the fire broke out in the Mahakumbh due to a cylinder explosion.
Prayag District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandar said, “Today at 4:30 pm, we received information about a fire in the Geeta Press of Kumbh area Sector 19. Fire brigade and police team reached the spot. There was a report of fire spreading in the tents of 10 Prayagwal along with Geeta Press, which has been extinguished. The situation is normal, there is no report of any loss of life. Mahakumbh Mela DIG Vaibhav Krishna said that there is no news of any casualty in this fire incident. CM Yogi also reviewed the situation. All senior officers are present on the spot.

CM Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the fire incident in the Mahakumbh Mela area in Prayagraj. The CM has instructed senior officers to be present on the spot. PM Modi has spoken to CM Yogi after the fire incident.
