Indian women’s team became the first world champion, won the title by defeating Nepal

New Delhi: India has become the first world champion team of Kho-Kho. In the final played on Sunday, January 19 in New Delhi, the Indian women’s team easily defeated Nepal in a one-sided fashion by a huge margin of 38 points and won the title. The Indian women’s team, which has been winning every match with dominance since the first match of the tournament, continued the same style in the final as well and won the championship by defeating Nepal with a scoreline of 78-40.

The first Kho-Kho World Cup started on January 13 at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi and in its very first match, the Indian women’s team registered a big win against South Africa by scoring 176 points. With this victory, Team India had expressed its intentions and this intention was to destroy every team. With the final held on Sunday, the Indian team turned its intentions into reality and captured the title.
