
New Delhi. The upcoming monsoon session of Parliament will begin on July 21 and will run till August 12. In the monsoon session, the government can introduce eight new bills, which include laws related to sports, minerals, education and tax.
The government can bring these new bills in the monsoon session. According to sources, the government is preparing to introduce some new bills in this session.
1. National Sports Governance Bill
Through this bill, an attempt will be made to bring accountability and transparency in sports organizations. Its purpose is to protect the rights of the players and make clear rules to resolve disputes related to sports.
2. National Anti-Doping Amendment Bill
Through this bill, the anti-doping system will be further strengthened. Its objective is to ensure strict action on doping and fair investigation of players as per international standards.
3. Geoheritage Sites and Georelics Preservation and Maintenance Bill
This bill will be related to the preservation and maintenance of geological heritage of India i.e. geoheritage sites and important rock formations.
4. IIM Amendment Bill
This amendment related to Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) is proposed to bring some changes in their administrative structure and operations, so that the quality and transparency of education can be improved.
5. Manipur GST Amendment Bill
The purpose of this bill is to make necessary technical or structural changes in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) law of the state of Manipur.
6. Taxation Amendment Bill
Through this bill, income tax or other tax laws will be amended to make them more simple and transparent, so that taxpayers benefit.
7. Public Trust Amendment Bill
The purpose of this bill is to remove minor crimes or procedural violations from the criminal category and convert them into administrative fines, so that the trust in the government increases among citizens and businessmen.
8. Mines and Minerals Amendment Bill
This bill will include measures to facilitate the exploitation, allocation and management of mineral resources as well as encourage investment.
Along with this, eight old bills are also on the agenda
Apart from these new bills, there are eight such bills which are already pending in Parliament. The government will also try to get them passed in this session. The most important among these is the Income Tax Bill 2025 and the Indian Ports Bill, which is related to the country’s economic and port system.
